Other Education:
Joseph also served in a Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) residency training at UNC Hospitals (1994-1995). While he served in this very intense professional and personal experience, he gained invaluable experience with medical trauma and illness with adult and pediatric patients in the areas of cardiology, medical surgery, neurology, and neurosurgery. During the end of his Divinity school and while in the Triangle, he experienced several personal losses in his family, including the loss of a love relationship that helped to form his future career and ministry. He understands personal loss and depression and having to move forward.
Joseph was theologically trained and can explore spiritual issues and crises as a pastoral counselor. Joseph has a particular interest in working with couples and families, as well as working with issues with grief and boundaries. He has been married for over 20 years and is the father of two.
